Minnesota State Fair 2008:

Darryl  spent a record of over 144 hours listening, meeting, greeting and talking to Minnesota's Democrat, Independent and Republican voters at the Minnesota State Fair 2008 more than any other United States Senator or United States Senate Candidate.

If you think that is dedication and hard work you have not seen anything yet wait tell you send Darryl to Washington as your United States Senator to work for you.

Darryl's booth was at the corner of Nelson and Carnes by the Playland Arcade.

Dear Friend,

I am dedicated to making Minnesota and America a better place for all. We will bring Democrats, Independents, Republicans, Black, White, Asian, Latino and Native American together because there is more that unites than divides us.

I truly believe our government needs to get back to being a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Unfortunately, Washington politicians have turned our United States government into a government of the money, a government by the money, and a government for the money.

I have listened to your concerns from around our great state and I agree something must be done about the many issues facing the middle class, working poor and small businesses such as:

  • Immediate development and implementation of national long term economic plan that includes cutting wasteful spending of our tax dollars
  • No Bail-Outs to Wall Street Firms that help create the Financial Crisis
  • Correcting  Washington politicians' flawed economic and foreign policies
  • Ending the Iraq war
  • Stop the genocide in Darfur
  • Outsourcing Manufacturing jobs and unfair Free Trade Agreements
  • Weakening of environmental laws and global warming
  • Highest gasoline prices in our nation's history
  • National and boarder security
  • K-12 and college education investment
  • Universal and affordable health care coverage and lowering prescription drug costs
  • Affordable housing and ending predatory lending
  • A real war on illegal drugs and domestic crime
  • Small Business tax parity
  • Veterans Administration mandatory funding
  • Workers right to organize
  • Food and Product Safety
  • Reducing Poverty and Ending Hunger

Growing up in a hard working family in a working class urban area, having lived in both middle class and working poor suburban and rural communities and being educated in all those communities have provided me a solid grasp of solutions needed to address the diverse issues facing Minnesota's middle class, working poor and small businesses. I believe people working together regardless of economic status, race, political party, or where you live can bring real change . I will continue to be your proactive leader and work hard to bring a higher standard of leadership to our political process and fight for all Minnesotans.

TOGETHER WE THE PEOPLE WILL WIN!

All The Best & God Bless,

Darryl
